Go For lander

Duchenne Parent Projects

As part of the global Duchenne Parent Project movement, 'Go For Lander' is committed to making a difference in the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This initiative, born out of love and hope, aims to support research, increase awareness, and provide a support network for those affected by this condition.

Duchenne Heroes
& GoForLander

Annually, 'GoForLander' participates in 'Duchenne Heroes,' a challenging bike ride that raises funds for Duchenne research. This journey symbolizes our fight and solidarity, and reinforces our mission to spread hope and awareness.

Events Throughout the Year

In addition to our active participation in 'Duchenne Heroes,' 'GoForLander' organizes various events throughout the year. These initiatives are aimed at raising awareness and fundraising to benefit the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Each activity brings our community closer to the goal of a future free from Duchenne.

Who is Lander?

This is Lander

A bright, hopeful boy

Lander is a sixteen-year-old boy whose remarkable positivity leaves a lasting impression. He's a tad shy, but with his brother Daan by his side, he exudes confidence. Duchenne's disease may be gradually robbing him of his mobility, but it's not halting his determination to attend school, pursue art, or enjoy family vacations. Last year, Lander courageously volunteered to participate in a clinical trial aimed at studying a potential treatment. However, such trials require significant funding to materialize.

THIS IS ANNICK AND JILL

"Always open and transparant"

Like all parents, Annick and Jill would do anything for their children. When Lander was diagnosed with Duchenne, they knew they wouldn't just let it be. The couple connected with the Duchenne Parent Project, and before they knew it, they were organizing activities or initiatives in their spare time to raise donations. From breakfasts and walks to waffles and fruit baskets. Annick and Jill always look positively to the future and want to build as normal a life as possible with their family.
